Product Information
ROLLTEC®ready-made repair pits are prefabricated service units in modular design. They are produced and delivered to the point of installation complete with all possible details, such as lighting, oil drainage, brake test beds etc..
We supply our ROLLTEC® repair pits in every length and width completely installed – including all accessories. No extensive planning work is required.
All that is needed is a granular sub-base to allow the system to be properly levelled out. The part below ground is filled with concrete and the whole is then backfilled to bind it to the floor of the hall. You then have a fully functional tool within two to three days.
This is made possible by a newly developed design, which is self-bearing and does not need any further concrete shuttering or filling at the sides. The sides are executed in box-type construction and can therefore bear very heavy loads. A special system of thrust plates conducts the forces from the hall floor into the foundation plate.
Particular attention has been paid to the head area of the underground unit to ensure that it is not subject to deformation – e.g. when using a vehicle jack.
A special bottom lip design counters these forces and, at the same time, serves to deflect water. This stops water dripping down the walls and soiling the pit or the systems installed in it.
The outer walls of this ROLLTEC® cassette are protected by multiple coats of corrosion inhibitors and are additionally insulted with a 20 mm layer of hard foam. Although this acts as ram protection, its main function is to provide thermal insulation to ensure that condensation does not form in the underground unit.
The roller/slide covers for repair pits function according to the simplified principle of a tracked vehicle drive.
A safety contact strip is fitted upstream from the bearing strut-articulated belt which stops the system when actuated.
The bearing capacity of a normal model is 13 t axle loading. This means that the roller cover can be driven over by practically any vehicle. This makes additional space in the workshop if the pit is not required for a time.
